I've been working on this
Bird of Paradise for several days since I wasn't able to dedicate uninterrupted chunks of time to it, like I normally would. I've had a ton of interruptions while supervising tree trimmers and house painters which is no easy task, it seems! They seemed to require lots of frequent servings of Cuban coffee to keep them going! But finally they're done and gone and now I can get back to just doing my usual stuff...which includes painting!
I do love the burnt umber, siennas, and oranges of this piece. It has gently textured impasto and was done in oils.
