Navy and Fuchsia Hyacinth

We all have favorite customers we like to deal with or in my case, "collectors" when we make art. Some people are a pleasure to work with and you want to do your best for them and strive to make them happy, others-not so much.

I'm lucky in that most of my repeat collectors, are great. One of my favorites is Ileana (and her sister). She recently asked me to make two hyacinth paintings fashioned after little aceo's I have in my etsy shop.

So I've been working on this commission recently. These two 8x10's are the result of her input. She specified the colors that will co-ordinate with the room she's decorating in her new home. Using the palette knife and swirling the oil paints on thick kind of reminded me of decorating a cake with frosting!  I really love the results but most importantly, so did Ileana!

Thank you, Ileana. I hope they put a smile on your face whenever you glance their way.

If you see something in my shop that you would like in a different size, color, etc., please contact me at msr107@gmail.com.
