Torrie Smiley at
The Mystery Artist Show and Sale
In the beginning of my art path, I first saw Torrie on EBSQ and was so impressed with her style and the fact that she was self-taught. She was definitely a role model for me!
She says on her profile that she "is originally from West Texas, now living and painting in the foothills of North Carolina. I am primarily a self-taught artist who paints using oil, acrylic, watercolor, and pastel. I have become known for my different renditions of pears, ranging from realism to colorful impressionism. I am a Juried Artist and my award winning Martini Series is a fan favorite." I'm particularly fond of her pear series:
She's also a fellow Daily Painters International Art Gallery artist. Please check out her wonderful art here.
Each Wednesday I will try to profile a fellow DPIAG artist or another artist of my choosing. There is so much incredible talent on the web and we rarely get a chance to meet some of these amazing artists! Stay tuned!
