This impressionistic painting was done in oils with palette knife and brushes and it shows El Morro , one of the most famous and recognizable monuments of Havana, Cuba. Not to be confused with other forts that have similar names, El Morro de Santiago de Cuba and Fort San Felipe del Morro in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
My painting focuses on the lighthouse and promontory area and on one of the cannons that’s perched on the adjacent rampart . El Morro is an impressive fort that can be viewed from miles around as it dominates the port entrance of Havana.
Lightly damar varnished to protect it from dust and ensure longevity.
Dimension:
11x14x.75 gallery wrapped canvas with staples on the back
