The little orange zinneas sprouting in my garden were the inspiration for this painting. This was done with oils and with brushes and palette knife. It depicts one of my favorite flowers, and it shows the flowering head in a thick, rich impasto. Much, much bigger than the original little bloom! Truly a unique piece of art.
