Royal Poinciana Bloom

                                      Royal Poinciana Bloom

The Royal Poinciana tree is in full bloom in south Florida. It's flowers range from shades of bright orange to deep red-orange. One such bloom fell from our tree and was the subject of this impressionistic painting. When seen closeup, the flower resembles a speckled orange orchid although when you see the tree from far away it looks like it has hundreds of orange cluster bouquets!
