They're made with canvas cotton and have long genuine leather suede straps perfect for crossing over your chest and hips. Art Pendants

Once again, Susy Paredes of earthexpressions has created some lovely pendants for me. She uses the decoupage technique with my images and recycled glass, and makes beautiful, unique, wearable art. I absolutely love the craftsmanship.  Here are the newest images:

She uses a square recycled glass tile and then will decoupage it with a beautiful photography print of my original painting.  It's then coated with jewelry grade resin to give it a shiny glass-like finish and long lasting protection. Lovely work, again, Susy~thank you!

Measures 1" x 1" x 1/4". Large silver plated aanraku bail is attached for easy stringing.

Red Hibiscus

A few years ago when we first moved to our house in Miami, we planted different colors of hibiscus all in a row. There were the yellow ones like the Hawaii State Flower. We also had the light and dark pink variety, even an orange one. When they were in bloom, usually at mid-day, they were spectacular! However, over the years, the only ones that remain are the common bright red and these deep pink magenta ones. The others have disappeared. This impressionistic painting was inspired by one of these lovely blooms.

This impressionistic painting was inspired by my love of the hibiscus flower. I have several of these bushes in my garden but since the cold snap we've been having in south Florida, all the blooms are gone! They'll come back though and in the meantime, I have this one to remind me of what they will look like soon enough! I can't wait for spring!

New Red Hibiscus Pendant!

I’ve just listed another pendant in my shop! This one is a sweet, little red hibiscus oil painting done on watercolor paper, then encased and sealed with a water resistant resin, which gives it a glass like appearance. The completed work is set into a silver tone bezel and suspended from an 18 inch metallic necklace choker with a magnetic lath type clasp. Real easy to put on and off!!
